GRAND OPENING IN THOMASVILLE
In January 2020, Walmart opened its first case-ready Angus beef facility in Thomasville, GA, and was hoping to create a local media splash.
In partnership with Walmart’s communications team, we created a robust grand opening plan that included remarks from Georgia Governor Bryan Kemp, specialized event invitations and a comprehensive local media strategy.
The event hosted more than 75 guests and fostered significant local media coverage, including ABC27 Tallahassee, FOX31 Albany, WALB Albany, The Moultrie Observer and the Thomasville Times-Enterprise.
Fight Hunger. Spark Change.
In April 2019, we teamed up with Unilever, Nascar and Feeding America to spread the word about “Fight Hunger. Spark Change,” Walmart’s annual commitment to fighting hunger in at-risk communities.
For this campaign, I wrote and executed a full event/media strategy, including overseeing the social spot below, planning a fan meet-and-greet with Nascar driver Justin Allgaier and securing media placements including JR Motorsports, The Birmingham Business Journal and CBS42.
